In my condo complex, you must grill at least 10 feet away from our house. The backyard turns into woods about 10 feet out, so that leaves me with either the front yard, or indoor grilling. I chose indoor grilling which I will elaborate below. I aslo have some outdoor grilling suggestions as well. Each grill uses a different heat source, so you can pick which works best for you. Read on for summertime grilling ideas for when you live in a condo.
We got the Power XL Smokeless Grill for indoor grilling. It has plenty of space to cook multiple burgers, hotdogs, chicken, and more. You get the criss cross grilling marks like you would with an outdoor grill. When I'm done, I pop the removable parts in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. I never cooked a better steak than I have on this grill. Its a must have for condo dwellers!
Pictured is when we grilled on the Power XL for Memorial Day, and below is the grill when not in use. Retail is around or below $100
If I was going to grill outdoors, the Coleman Portable Sportster Propane Grill is what I would invest in. This Grill will fold up when you are finished for easy outside storage. It is fueled by propane. In my complex, we can't keep extra propane tanks inside, so we would be limited by only have one at a time. Still this cute little grill would be perfect for anyone with limited space. It goes for around $130
I have this Kingston 14 inch portable charcoal that I keep for emergencies. For example, if the power is off for an extended period of time, and I want to cook meat before it goes bad, we grab this charcoal grill. We keep a large bag of coal with it. This is a very budget friendly grill, so if you're looking for spend around $20, this would be the grill for you. Its small enough to store outside without it being an eyesore
I hope you have a better understanding of what you would want and need for grilling. There are lots of options out there, but these are my favorite 3. Let me know which one you chose!
