Kimba, who is a flame point Siamese, is our eldest cat. I got him when he was a year old when I lived in Pittsburgh. He will be 12 years old this year. Kimba has come a long way, as he was mistreated after my friend could no longer keep him. I took him out of his bad living situation and he became a part of our family. He's now friendly, inquisitive, and a generally a happy cat. He's 100% a mommas boy. Kimba has allergies and GI issues, but other than that is a healthy older cat. He holds a very special place in my heart.
Our resident black cat is Little. His formal name is Nova, but he doesn't respond to it, and I never call him that. He's 4 years old, and when I got him he was very sick. We nursed him back to health, and minus a bought of health misfortunes 2 years ago, has remained healthy since. He's very verbal with his displeasure, but never bites or scratches. Little always hides when people come over. I joked when we rented that we only needed to tell our landlord we had 2 cats because Little never made an appearance. He sleeps on my legs every night, and is secretly my husbands favorite.
Lastly we have Daisy. She was born Christmas Day 2019. She's the happiest cat I've ever had, and is very sweet and social. She has a few newly acquired bad habits, but makes up for them with her winning personality.
My husband and I don't have children by choice, so our cats are our kids. We had two cats prior to Little and Daisy that have since passed on. They remain close to our hearts and will never be forgotten.
